How IoT Affect Our Lives And How Does It Works?

IoT affect our lives in different fields. Some of the fields are given below.

1. Medical and health:- 

In day to day life, IoT plays a very important life. In this system, doctors can get all the health information about the patient remotely. If the situation of the patient will not good then the doctor will get a notification ex. If the blood pressure of the patient goes beyond limits then the doctor will be notified.

2. Safety and Security:- 

In the field of safety and security, it is very helpful. Nowadays smart cities project is in trends. In smart cities, the physical structure of cities is build within it.

Ie. Gas pipelines, water pipeline, auto-monitoring. In the pipelines, if there will any leakage then the sensor will sens and will send instructions to the head office of the system.

3. Farming:-

In farming, it makes life simple with smart projects. The farmer can know the situation of his crops and can operate his irrigating machines remotely. Crops can protect from animals. So these ways it can affect framers’ life.

4. Home:- 

It makes our life very simple by home automation. All the home appliances can control on the demand of the owner.

It can remind the thing for better protection. If the owner forgot to close the door and leave for the office then after the specific time he will get the notification and he can close it remotely. This way it affects our life.

5. Industries:-

It is also very popular in industries. Machines are operated by it and many processes can be monitor by the cloud server. There can be a machine interface, one machine after finish its task will send the information to another machine. All the devices will be connect to the Internet. So proper information will be shared with the cloud.

How does IoT work?

It is a system in which devices are connected to the internet and share data with the cloud server.

It has some main parts:-

  1. Sensors
  2. Microcontroller
  3. Actuators
  4. Cloud server

1. Sensors:-

It converts a physical parameter to an electrical signal that can be read by a microcontroller. 

ie. Temperature sensor, IR sensor,  ultrasonic sensor.

Temperature is converted into electrical signals.

2. Microcontroller:-

The microcontroller reads the input given from the sensor and operates the actuators based on programmed conditions. Using an integrated development environment program uploads on the microcontroller for desired operations.

3. Actuators:-

Actuators get the signal from the microcontroller and operate according to it.

It makes a physical change in the environment. It’s a close-loop controlled system. The sensor reads the physical parameter and the actuator makes changes in physical parameters until the steady-state error will not be zero.

4. Cloud server:-

A cloud server is a place to register or monitor data received from a microcontroller. Instructions or commands can be sent to the microcontroller this way we can operate any machine according to the monitored data.
